I found this on another site today. Check out this company -

http://www.zsquaredgraphics.com/poster-info.html

They take 9 pieces of your child's art work and make a museum quality poster. How cool! They are expensive, but I think it is a great idea. Maybe to decorate the playroom... Hmmm...

That is very clever! It would difficult deciding which nine pieces to use though.

This reminded me of something my niece's Montessori school did with their artwork. They would reduce to card size and copy on to colored card stock for thank you/blank cards. I received one of these cards after last Christmas and it brought back fond memories of my niece being little (she's now 14).

Glad you all liked the review :) I have to tell you, its a great item. I really am collecting--I already have the first picture picked out. I'm hoping to get one per month this school year, so it will show DS' progress.

I've been eyeing this for a long time and just can't seem to pull the trigger based on price, etc. Another idea I've had (which I haven't actually tried yet) is to use a new site that was featured in the WSJ back in June to try to do this. The site is called http://www.tabblo.com/. They have a web application that allows you to create posters/collages of photos. My thought was to scan/photograph the artwork I wanted to include and then clean up the images/resize them in elements and then create a Tabblo in their largest poster size which is 15.5" x 19.5" (basically the same as the zsquaredgraphics poster). This is all a theory since I haven't actually tried to do this yet, but at $20 for a poster (the price at tabblo), I think I'll try it this Fall with artwork from the 2005-2006 preschool year. If I like it, I'll either drymount it myself or take it to Michaels to be mounted/framed. Theoretically I'll have a little more freedom to include more artwork if I want (I might do 12 pieces of artwork instead of 9). If anyone does this (I'm swamped for the next month or two), I'd love to see a photo of what they had done or put together themselves.
