We got the latest FAO catalogue today, and in addition to feeling "scandalized" when I saw an item that costs $80,000 (yup, not a typo), I was really impressed with their realistic-looking kitchen.

I was surprised by myself when I thought to myself, $600? Not bad. (I guess I have been eyeing the PBK new kicthen set and its price tag for too long. LOL) Lots of people must have felt the same way since the FAO kitchen is now out of stock. Wow.

In addition, I love the FAO Advent Calendar. It is gorgeous and yet it is $1,125! Sometimes I wonder, it must be a parallel universe that the super wealthy live in.

p.s. Link to see the $80K item:

No comment from me... Yikes.

THat is a beautiful kitchen, IMO. 80k, huh? At least it is not a toy, but an antique, I think. No comment here either!

i thought the same thing, $600, not bad, since the PBK ones are comprable and this one is SOOO nice!

i LOVE getting the fao catalog every xmas, it makes you just wonder about the people that are buying this stuff!

i haven't gotten mine yet, i just might have to put my name back in their database :)

That one is COOL!! It wouldn't work in our house so I'm relieved. ;)

Ooooo, I don't know wether to put my name down for a catalog or not! BTW, the $80k already says "out of stock" did someone buy it?

The advent calendar is beautiful and reminds me of a Christmas shop here in Germany.

And if I was going to buy a kitchen that would be the one to save up for! Fantastic.

BTW did you see this fantastic horse http://www.fao.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=5956&categoryId=118&parentCategoryId=399 IMHO way better than a Kettler trike!

Subtract the dishwasher and add a drainboard next the sink and that basically IS a miniature version of my kitchen. Slap some alphabet magnets on a fridge and some coupons and notes clipped on a fridge for authenticity.

Yep, nicer. Especially since we do not own a dishwasher, like this one does.

OMG. LOL. Yeah, make the cabinets a darker cherry and there's my kitchen. Have to admit it's cute. :)

As for the $80K item: Ever seen that move "Puppet Master"? *shiver* Yeah.

$80K for the antique toy, but gift wrap is only $6 -- that's a bargain! Though for $80K, gift wrap really should be included.
