Don't get the Amanda doll. My sister got one for Christmas last year, she's 7, she hated it. She really wanted one too. You have to scream at it in order for it to hear you and it rarely understands what you're saying. Definitely nothing like the commercials, and not worth $100! If your DD wants an interactive doll, I would try the Baby Born, the new one cries.

I don't know much about it but DD loves the Baby Alive commercials, I couldn't find any reviews, I think it may have just come out.
