I'm trying to decide if I should register for the Ocean Wonders Aquarium Swing and Bouncer or the Baby Papasan Swing and Infant Seat. I really like the neutral colors of the Papasan, however I'm afraid my baby will get bored with these products and may grow out of them quickly. Any thoughts or opinions?

Thanks!
Jenna

I have the Ocean Wonders swing and my SIL has the Papasan Swing. The Papasan swing looks and feels MUCH more comfy that the OW one. While I do like the lights and fish in my OW version, my nephew was absolutely entranced by the mirror above him on the Papasan version. If I was buying a new one today, I'd probably go for the Papasan.

honestly i would get the papasan swing ond ow bouncer. the papasan is an awesome swing. we love ours! the seat is not a true bouncer and is really only useful while the baby is a newborn. you will get MUCH more use out of the ow bouncer. you don't have to have them matching.

I agree with pp; I'd get the Papasan Swing (we just got one for DC #2 and LOVE it!)
THe Papasan bouncer seems kinda boring though. I'd get the Ocean Wonders bouncer.

I don't think you could go wrong on either swing. We have the OW swing for DD and she absolutely loves it. She looks up at the rotating fish and colorful lights. It is comfortable enough for her to sleep for hours in it. She would probably be as entertained looking at the mirror and birds on the papasan one and it definitely looks comfy.
I agree with the pp on the bouncy seat though. I have heard that babies get bored with the papasan bouncy. The OW one looks much more entertaining! Even though the colors of many baby products are garish, the bright colors are what babies like.

My son took his naps in the papasan swing for months before he got on his regular nap schedule. I am so glad we had that thing. Our bouncer was a $20 one from walmart and it worked well too. Basically the vibrate feature is the biggest thing, while the light and music shows are bonus. My friends had the papasan bouncer and said their son didn't like it at all.

I agree with everyone else.... pass on the Papasan bouncer but the swing is nice. My neighbor had the OWswing and her son loved it. I don't think you can go wrong with either swing! We have the OW bouncer and my little guy still loves to look at his "fishies" even though he can't sit in it anymore. We just finally retired it..... he's 17 months old! LOL

Good Luck

My vote would be for the Papasan swing. My DD absolutely loved how comfy this was. I liked that we could its change direction too. Sometimes I think all the bright bells and whistles are too much, especially since it's supposed to rock/soothe the baby. My DH wanted one in an adult size. :)

Someone just posted about a new FP Rainforest Swing. Why didn't I find this 2 weeks ago before I got the Papasan!!! It looks great, just like the Papasan but it plugs in to save on batteries. I would get this if I didn't already have the Papasan!
