We have a book called Baby Huggs and DD loves to lift the little piece of cloth, open the envelope, etc. but it is thin cardboard and is going to get destroyed!

Any suggestions for other sturdy interactive books for a 1-yr old? (We also have Tails)

TIA

Not a book but the same concept. DD's first birthday gift, and she loves it :) There are several kinds, panda, turtle, house... :)

Not a paper or board book but my DD LOVED this book.

Cloth is great, they go in the wash and are hard to tear, withstand a lot of "love". :)

Well, they're still in the closet waiting for DD's birthday, but Costco has some foam like books right now that has a removable piece or two per page. The books are themed, like Baby Animals, where you take out a piece with a horse on it, and there is another horse picture underneath. They were $6.99 I think? And there were probably 4 or 5 different themes, like opposites, things that go, etc. I can take a picture later if you like - they are cuter than I make them sound. :) hth
