Hi all,
There are way too many sets to choose from -- what do you think would be a good first Lego Duplo set for xmas? He doesn't watch TV so Thomas isn't a factor (yet). This isn't a double post -- I need advise for Duplo AND GeoTrax.
TIA

I'd highly recommend the preschool Duplo Lego table. We got it for Kaya when she was 1 years old and she still plays with it.

I second this. Ours is used on a daily basis. Even my 8 yo still builds Duplo blocks on it sometimes.

After reading the above two posts, I thought I would try to buy one for my DS. However, my internet search came up empty. Does anyone know where I could find one of these in stock?

Thanks,
Michelle

Maybe this is what they are talking about:

http://www.amazon.com/none-LEGO-Preschool-Playtable/dp/B0000789T0

DD just has a green base mat (which I highly recommned if you don't get the Lego Table) for her Duplos (which she loves). She got a table and chairs at the same time, so we don't really need a separate table.

Rereading your post I guess maybe your problem is finding this in stock. Sorry! But the mat is a great substitute, I think.

DD has a set that I didn't see on the Lego site. It is # 3191 with 103 pieces. It is working out great for her. We got it at the Lego store in Chicago. This is the one:

Yes, this is it. According to the Lego website, they're no longer making these. Bummer. But you could get a simple desk and chair and add the Duplo baseplate to it, as Pam suggested.
