I would like to get either a tee pee or a tent for DS for christmas but can't decide which. I thought about a tee pee since I didn't really find any cute tents that I liked. I had thought about this tee pee after it came recommended here:

http://peeweeteepees.com/index.html I would get the solid red or light blue denim to go best in our playroom.

I also like this one at babystyle:
http://babystyle.com/common/dProductDetail.asp?pmid=20665&dept=37&sc=140 It is more expensive but I like the style.

I am just afraid that these are going to look gy-normous(!) in our playroom or in DS's bedroom (standard size rooms).

Most of the tents I found were the Pacific Play tents (the kind of tunnel we have) but I didn't want to connect it to the tunnel and I wasn't crazy about any of them. I did like this Prince Lion Heart one: http://www.princelionheart.com/site/t_otg_3102.html
I am just not sure it would be able to stay up if it was indoors.

Also, now that I am reading a lot about ball pits and how much kids like them, that is becoming more important.

Can you help me sort this all out?? :)

TIA!

No teepee's here, but we have a tent similar to the one that you posted. (We've got this one --- http://www.kidsurplus.com/kel12233.html )

We've got it set up indoors and it stays up fine. Super easy to set up and take down it when it is down it is very compact. It doesn't take up that much room when it is up either. DD LOVES the tent. She plays in it a lot. I like it because it blocks the UV when we are outside and if you zip it up, it keeps the bugs out. (Although we can't zip it because DD is not one to stay in one place for more than 4 seconds.)

Hope that helps!

We have the Mambo Combo set from Ryan's Room picked up last year at Costco for $25ish. It is two tents and a tunnel, and they have been great.

This year they are carrying a different version of the Ryan's Room stuff and I think they are teepees. There should be info in the archives on it. Not sure if most Costcos are out of stock at this point or not, but for the price, IMO it is a great set.

We just got the Ryan's Room Maze Craze that's available at Costco and it has a tent and a teepee as part of the set. We haven't set it up yet so I can't comment on size or quality, but that might be something to look at.

I ended up getting one from LL Bean. It's by Kelty Kids, and we LOVE it!!! It's like a quality adult tent, except on a smaller scale. It even has stakes and can be used outside as a regular tent! We plan to use it outdoors (though it was set up inside for a week, it does take up a lot of space!) and take it with us when we go camping so the kids can play in it. Not that my kids will ever sleep in it LOL
