Does anyone know where to get the best price on these? So far I'm thinking it's from Babystyle's version, but they don't have all the different ones and I was hoping to collect them gradually and ask for them as Christmas presents for my girls.

Babystyle has a version in their colors for $26 and the toaster is only $24

Walmart seems to have the best price on the Kidkraft in pastels at $29.53 and they have more pieces to choose from

Anyone seen a better deal for something similar or the same online or IRL?

TIA! I'm trying to buy alot of these things together if possible, so a little bit of savings on each would add up, esp if I could get no tax or free shipping.

DS has the Babystyle coffee maker and it is one of his most-used toys. DH is a big coffee fan and DS loves all things related to helping daddy make coffee, etc. He was not quite 2 when he got it last year for Christmas. His "big" gift was a train table, but oddly enough, he was more excited about the coffee maker LOL.

It has held up fine for us but my DS is pretty gentle with it. I think there was a crack/big chip in the underside of the lid when we got it, but I just glued it and fixed it that way rather than returning it, because it wasn't that big of a deal to me. So I don't know what that says about the quality.

I think we paid less than that price last year, as I had a babystyle online coupon code. I'd definitely look for one or if you can stand waiting a bit longer, maybe consider holding out for one. I think that brought the price down to more like 18 bucks or so. There should be some sort of code out there or one coming soon if I had to guess...a certain percentage off or free shipping.

They didn't seem to carry this set for a while after the holidays last year because I could not find it...I wanted the matching toaster ;) PBK has a cute red toaster now that I've been looking at. We were looking for a more gender-neutral set, and DS has a red kitchen, so the babystyle one is at least better than pastels ;)

Some other options:

Thanks! This was really helpful! My kids are also obsessed with the coffee and the coffee grinder. They find it all fascinating, so I thought this would be great for them. I really like the mixer though and wish I could find that in more primary colors. It's not that I have boys, but I just get so tired of all the pink and purple sometimes. It's enough that all of their clothes and towels are those colors - I figure every toy doesn't need to be that too! I love the red stuff at Pottery Barn, but the toaster doesn't come with the bread you can slice like the Babystyle one does.

I think I'm going to go for it. I'll wait a couple weeks and see if a coupon comes up. The only one I have right now is for free shipping, but you have to spend $75 and that won't be enough anyway.

We picked up a Melissa & Doug toaster at Tuesday morning for half off. It was $9.99. I didn't like the quality of the PBK one when I saw it in the store, certainly not for its price!

Not sure yet about a mixer or blender. Refuse to do pastel so not many other options yet.

In all honesty, you probably don't need all 4 of those pieces. I bought all 4 about 1.5 years ago for dd (only because I got them at an insanely cheap clearance price)and I still haven't given her the blender. I'm sure she'd like it, but really, they take up so much space, and they all fall into the same category of pretend kitchen play. If you find some you really like, don't worry if they have all those pieces.

I think I'll probably ck out Tuesday Morning just so I won't be kicking myself if I see it there a week later ;)

Yeah, I wasn't thinking about the blender. Was just thinking that DD #1 would probably like the mixer with the cookies that Kidkraft has and DD #2 would be all about the coffee maker and toaster... but maybe I'll just do two things - the two from Babystyle.... that would probably be plenty and then they're not fighting over just one. I don't have any kitchen appliance type toys now, except for a little tabletop wood cooktop by Alex, so I think they'll have a lot of fun playing with these! I think the toaster and coffeemaker are good because they're two totally different types of things and also different from the cooktop. I can see the older one making everyone something to drink in the coffee mugs and the little one putting the toast up and down thousands of times!

Just have to chime in - every time we went to Babystyle my daughter would play with the coffee maker/mugs (from age 1), and I ended up buying it for her and she still LOVES it (age 21 mos). It's a great toy. I'll probably get her the toaster for x-mas.

They really are cute and I'm surprised that Babystyle has a better price than Walmart! Goes to show you've gotta shop around!

I recently bought the Melissa & Doug Toaster Set for $15.

I purchased the toaster set, along with the Melissa & Doug cutting food box, play food set, veggie basket, and sandwich making set--free shipping (I believe $30 and over minimum for free shipping) and no tax. It was a great deal. Some sets are sold out now, but they still have a few others.

That is a good deal! I just ordered the babystyle one though... I really wanted the coffee maker, so I guess it works out, although I probably spent more than I should.... sigh.

Keep an eye out for Tuesday Morning. I got DS the mixer set last year there and they also had the toaster (he really wanted the M&D one so I got that one instead). TM carried them in primary colors so the mixer was red and blue with a silver painted bowl. It came with a blue tray and 2 cookies instead of 4 (tray was smaller). It was also only $9.99.
