We'd like to get E a doll for Christmas (he'll be 17mo) in anticipation of having a baby this spring. We know little about dolls, except we want one with a soft head (i.e. not plastic). Are Waldorf dolls the way to go? Are there other options? Is it too late to order a Waldorf doll for Christmas?

I almost bought a doll this summer throught the coop (I think it was Joy's Waldorf dolls?), and now I wish I did. Darn it!

TIA!

There are really cute Kathe Kruse Waldorf dolls available at Magic Cabin (I think it's called the Toddler Doll) and at www.playstoretoys.com. It's the same doll, and you can get a boy or a girl, blond or brunette.

My DD has the brunette one and we love her. My favorite thing about her is that she seems indestructible. :D

I think PBK dolls have cloth heads too.
