If it were up to me, we wouldn't even stuff Maeve's stocking since she'll be so young, but DS will for sure ask "Why didn't Santa get Maeve anything?"! So, I have to find a few small things for her stocking.

I want to get her the Laugh and Learn Home and I have a few other things (big puzzles, etc...), so we're all set for under the tree, but I need a few stocking stuffers. Also don't want to spend a ton since her bday is in March.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!
Nicole

I think the egg shakers(3.99) they have at Target would be cute and fun.
last year I put gerber freeze dried fruits
toothbrush and toothpaste
disposable spoon, bibs and table toppers
stacking cups or small bath toys
small books
socks, tights?

Little People had Peek-a-Blocks that were Christmas themed... They came in a little clear cylinder in sets of three. I saw them at Target the past two years.

What about a cute bib?

As a music teacher, I love the egg shaker idea!!! :)

finger puppets! She can't put them on her fingers obviously but I used to keep a few in my bag at that age for extra help amusing him if he was fussy. Egg shakers are a must too.

DS was about 10 months his first Christmas. I can't recall all the stocking stuffers, but I remember getting him:

A cd or two (both kids could enjoy)
Uninflated Gertie ball
board book or two
??? (drawing a blank on what else he got LOL)

other ideas...

Anything you'll "need" in the near future anyway like:
socks
sippy cup
food/snacks
Soft-soled shoes (target sells inexpensive ones)
bibs
utensils
tights
hair accessories
Blankie/lovey/taggie blanket
onesies or a small clothing item or two?
Bath toy...rubber ducky or a windup toy or squirt toy?

Our baby will be born shortly before Christmas, so we'll be dealing w/ having both close together for a long time to come. I'm not spending much money on her this year, but have to get a few things so DS doesn't notice she's short changed LOL

she'll be only a few weeks old but we're doing:
socks
bibs
Haba rattles
Skwish toy
maybe an extra pilot cap
Anything else small that we'll be needing in the immediate future anyway (possibly a cloth diaper cover or two for example)
ETA: baby's first Christmas ornament
