ds is obsessed with the plastic spud so that will be the theme of our 3rd bday party, but there are no MPH themed party goods so I was thinking of doing the table covers in "potato head" brown and then using assorted bright color plates/paper goods...

I can't find and potato brown table cover 9lol) so I am thinking burlap(?) or craft paper, but hoping you creative ladies might have some ideas

Sounds like a fun idea!

I couldn't find any partyware for MPH. I did find some chocolate brown table cloths but not sure if that is too dark for MPH. Or the Gold might work too.

But like you mentioned I guess you could use kraft paper. Here is a link to one place I found:

I also found this website that has MPH coloring pages that you can print. Maybe you can cut them out and tape/glue them to where each kid will sit and they can color the picture. I'm sure that will keep them busy for a few minutes.

I also did a quick search on ebay for some stickers:

What about the rolls of brown paper that are sold for wrapping things to send in the mail.

You've got to play "Pin the Eyes/Nose/Mouth on the Potato." You could make that easily.

I think I may have to steal your theme. :)

This "gold" color is more potato head color than dark brown. It might work...especially if you add some stickers (see pp) to the cups.

thanks so much...I do think the choc brown is too dark but the Kraft paper will be awesome, particularly with the pictures

I was just looking at a TOY mailer/catalog of sorts from Target that came in the LA Times newspaper. It had Mr Potato Head Jumbo Pack (has over 50 parts) says Target exclusive... for $16.99!!!

HTH's you!

Sounds like an awesome party theme/idea! Brown butcher paper can be bought in a large roll from catering supply places as well!!! I wonder if you could find some Mr potato head stencils or stickers to dress up the table??? Red/Blue/Yellow/Green solid plates and napkins will do just fine to make it festive!

check this out... make Mr potato head cookies (or use with playdoh)

this site has a bunch of Mr Potato Head pages that you could print out for the kids to color... or you could color them in and use them as decorations!

How about a string of Mr Potato Head lights!!!! CUTE!

I love the idea of making Potato Head Cookies. You can let the kids decorate their own MPH with icing. Cute! Those lights are cute too.

This is the cutest idea, I love it! I'm not usually into character parties (I know DD will have other plans one day) but this is a great one. I might have to steal it too--way to go creative momma!
