I am going to buy my daugeter the Haba mail kit for Christmas. I would like to get a simple mailbox to go with it. I would like to find one that the looks like the ones out on the road (with a flag). I am thinking there must be one that perhaps crafters buy to decorate? Has anyone seen one?

do you want a regular size mailbox? if so lowes has plain white ones for cheap...like $5. I think Melissa & Doug might have something...

Have you seen this one from PBK?

Just curious what the Haba mail kit is? I haven't seen it, but sounds fun... my daughters are fascinated by mail. The PBK mailbox is really realistic.. the only other ones I recall seeing are the plastic kind... I would think a store like Michael's or JoAnn Fabrics might have the unfinished kind if you were looking for wood.

I ended up ordering 2 mailboxes b/c what fun is mail unless you have one to correspond with so big brother is getting one too. I think they will play with them a lot!

Both of my kids have their own mailbox from PBK.
They are very realistic!

This is where they put their letters to Santa.
And, he leaves letters for them. :)

Those are adorable!! I was just looking for a mailbox too, DD's preschool teacher actually recommended getting or making one since apparently she loves writing letters at school and it encourages purposeful writing, etc.
