Between this great deal at Thai Silks -- $4.10 each 36" X 36"

vs. buying from a place like Bumbershoot Baby?

I was thinking of making them myself too, so if I ordered from Thai silks, I could also get some blank ones to do with Kool Aid, but I was just curious if anyone had an opinion on quality. Seems like a great price they have on the already dyed ones in vivid colors that it doesn't make sense to get procion dye and all that to do it myself (except for the fun factor).

I just liked buying from a WAHM that we all know, so I bought mine from Juliet at Bumbershootbaby. That's not to say the other isn't good or a good deal, but I like knowing I'm supporting a mom here.

You can get vivid colors with Kool Aid too. I did it last week! Just use more than one packet per scarf. Beware of the reds, though, the color doesn't "hold" as well as other Kool Aid colors.

Let us know if you order and how they look! I was going to do the same thing and then chickened out :) FWIW, I ended up buying playsilks from here:

She's a WAHM, great prices, huge selection, and was wonderful to work with!

I bought silks at thaisilks last year. The colors are vivid and they've held up wonderfully after heavy use and lots of washes.

I bought some playsilks from thai silks about 2 years ago and they still look great! SO happy with them and the boys love them, too. :)

We bought some from Thai Silks exactly a year ago and found the quality to be fine. We have not had any problems with them. DD plays with them and drags them around and we haven't had any issues with quality. The colors are vivid and nice. Some of the less "pretty" colors (the tan & eggplant) are kind of nice and earthy.

Laurie,

Do they have them in other sizes already dyed too?

Just wondering. I am going to order some for DS's MDO.

Thanks
Nancy

The sizes on sale for the china silk (habotai) are:

15x72
12x60
36x36

Here is a link to their sale page:

Also, not all the colors are on sale, but most of them are -- if you click to view all, some are regular price of $5.75, which still isn't bad.

atoygarden.com also sells silks for about $5 a silk too when you purchase the larger sets. Their silks are a thicker (8mm) silk too.

I bought mine from AToyGarden.com. They sold some other items I wanted and I just figured shipping would be cheaper than ordering from 2 stores.
I am very pleased with the quality and colors, but don't know how durable they will be because we haven't started using them yet.

Are there any discount codes available for A Toy Garden?
