I would like to forgo the high chair for our 3rd and last child. I guess I will use the bumbo or infant seat to feed him in until he sits better. I would love to buy a Tripp Trapp, but had a question on height. Is it tall enough or can it be made tall enough to work on a kitchen island (we have 24" bar stools).

I know there are smallish highchairs that you can attach to a seat, but we don't have that many chairs, that I want to lose the seating! What about the clip on boosters? Help! I really don't want a big bulky high chair, but how do I avoid it.

The Tripp Trapp doesn't adjust high enough to be pulled to an island. It is only table height. Your best bet, based on what you describe, is a clip on chair that attaches directly to the island.

Drat, that is what I suspected. Thanks for the info!

DD is 12 months and we use a TT at the table and a 'Me Too' clip on at the island. So far working out well.
