I'm looking for something that would ideally have a building block side and a flat side, and I'd like to keep the price under $100 if possible. Jason found a Lego table in a Carter's store a few weeks ago, and it kept him entertained for quite some time, but I'd like the flexibility of having a flat surface for art projects, etc. He's only 18 months, and the age range on this table starts at 3- am I missing any potential problems?

Feel free to offer alternative suggestions- I know nothing about tables.

Thanks!

Have you seen the Nilo block table?

Not sure how the size compares, but this would give you a smooth surface and a surface for blocks. It's a little over $100, but that price includes shipping.

If you're thinking of getting a train table down the road, you might want to consider the bigger Nilo table instead. You can get the block panels for that, too, although you have to buy them separately.

HTH!
