My son loves working with tools, but he's got about 2 or 3 really simple plastic ones that we got when he was 1. He's 2 now and I'd like to get him a toolset that is a little more realistic and hopefully in a toolbox of some sort.

Any suggestions?

My DS is 2 and LOVES tools. I bought him some from TRU. They are the Home Depot tools. He has the drill and it sounds pretty real. He also loves the screwdrivers and wrenches. As for the tool box, I decided to get him a red plastic one. I thought a real box would be better than the ones that come with the toy sets since they are bigger and will be able to hold his expanding tool collection.

I was doing a search for them online today and came across this one-

I got DS the Sesame Street Giggle belt for Christmas this year, but was looking for other options, since it doesn't come with a box. I like PP's idea of just buying a separate box to keep eveything in.

Excellent idea about the separate box. Where did you find a red plastic box that would fit these tools?

You know, I really liked that giggle belt with the tools, but I thought a toolbox would be much better. I think I might go with that or the Home Depot ones and just put it in a real toolbox.

Thanks!

I was looking all over Target. I can't remember if I found a tool box in the hardware section or if I ended up with a tackle box. I looked at both.
