We were thinking of getting the Costco set for DD as her santa gift. She wants it and talks about "Dora's Castle" daily. She even asked "Mr. Christmas" (what she calls Santa) for it last weekend.

So do you have it? The reviews have been so so for it, most saying it isn't much fun without the furniture. Since the costco set comes with a few rooms and the carriage, this isn't much of an issue for us.

Please let me know if we would be wasting our money. She was so excited when she saw it at Costco I would hate for her to be disappointed/lost interest quickly.

Thanks!

Ds got the Dora house last year. It still gets played with off and on. I found that having a good amount of furniture for it did help his interest level so for a while I was picking up something new every few trips to Target.

I'd get it. I bet it would be fun. Get the set that comes with the extras and maybe ask others to pitch in another character or something too so more people can play at once.
