DD got the Fisher Price my first dollhouse for Hanukkah last night. It is really cute and so far she loves to play with it (though she isn't quite old enough to do a lot of pretend play yet). However, it is so low with it sitting on the floor. It's in her room and needs to stay there so I was thinking of getting something like this to raise it up a bit:

They have them at Target. What do you think?

my dollhouse growing up had a similar concept - but made out of wood. My mom put a skirt around the bottom (similar to a bed skirt) - I could keep all of my dolls hidden underneath.

I use the small Nilo table to put all of DD's dollhouses on -- we put everything on the table (playsets, the small train set we just got her, blocks, puzzles, play food etc...). At first I was just putting her dollhouse on a large cardboard box but I really found that it was still too low for her to enjoy it.

Another option someone told me about is a small TV rolling cart -- easy to move around, and not a large piece of furniture.

Love your idea for the small Nilo table! Can I ask where
you bought it?? Thanks!

We use a piano bench. It seems to be working well.
