View Full Version : Could I use this PBK farmhouse table as a coffee table too?

DD (9 mos old) received money from grandparents at Christmas to buy a "special" gift. I am trying to purchase things that will last a long time. I have been eyeing the PBK farmhouse table since dd was born & figured we would get it for her next Christmas.

Today at my sil's dd sat at my nieces' toy table and "read" 3 books. I am thinking that dd might be ready for a table sooner than I thought. And until then, I could use it as a coffee table. Any opinions?

Here is the table (it is 22" high--nt sure how high a normal coffee table is).

We just gave it to our girls for Christmas. I think it would be too high and possibly too wide.

Thanks for the feedback Vicki. Are you pleased with the quality of the table? Do you think your dds could have used the table earlier?

I would. I just headed over to ikea.com and some of their coffee tables are about 21" - what's another inch for a table you want to have eventually anyhow?

We like high coffee tables. We actually pull up little chairs to the opposite side of the sofa and we play games and do puzzles at the coffee table.

That is a great idea. Obviously DD is too young for that now. But I would feel a lot better about "investing" in a table & chairs if I knew it had longevity.

Yes, the quality is fabulous. DH, who complains about the quality of everything, was very impressed when he put it together.

I do think that the girls would have been able to use it earlier.

Thanks Vicki! I'm going to head out to our local pbk & check it out.
