I just stumbled upon this flexible tripod called a Gorillapod by Joby and was wondering if anyone has used it and could offer any reviews. I came across a 15% off code but I wanted to get some reviews before purchasing. I think it was also in the December 2006 Real Simple magazine.

I also noticed a similar thing called the Monsterpod but it doesn't seem as versatile. It will stick upside down, but really, who takes pictures like that? :P

I think I saw this on HGTV also. Where did you see it for 15% off?

Yes, I got the gorillapod for Christmas! It is the neatest thing! We have the smaller one which works with the small P&S compact cameras. However we want to get a larger one for our DSLR. The person who invented this is a genious, IMO!

Use the code gorillapodLOVE on joby.com for 15% off.

Thanks for this. My husband lugs a tripod with us everywhere. I always complain that as his backpack is so full of camera gear, I have to carry everything for DS. This might help to lighten the load.
