Does yours actually stay up on the fridge? Ours slowly slides down. The magnet isn't strong enough to hold it up. Is it worth exchanging for a new, hopefully better, unit?

Ours' does not slide. Hopefully you will have better luck with a replacement!

Ours does not slide, but it is stuck on "C" for the first letter. We're exchanging it to say the least - lol!

What kind of fridge do you have? I have this problem too. My fridge is a faux stainless one though. I've noticed a lot of my old magnets don't hold as well on this fridge (I got it 2 months ago) although I have no trouble with the regular Fridge Phonics. And the letters stick just fine.

And my Word Whammer is brand new, so I don't think its a new vs old thing.

Our new Word Whammer does just fine. Our fridge is plain ol' white.

Ours doesn't stay up very well either, and at least in our case, I don't think it's the fridge. For one thing, we've had Fridge Phonics up there for over a year and that stays put. Also on our Whammer, it seems like it's just the top right corner that doesn't seem to "stick" as hard as the others.

Weird!

Ours does not now. But it did NOT on our old fridge, which had a less magnetic door. It might be your fridge and not the toy. You can get some strong magnets to prop it up though- we put 2 to 3 of the rectangle backings from my husbands magnetic name badges from work under it and it held up just fine. No problems with the letter at all.

Ours is the same! Thanks for posting this thread, I just assume that it is a defect in everyone of them (maybe too heavy etc). Now I will need to exchange it for a new one!
