I am thinking about painting a 3 x 4 ft section of wall with Crayola Colored Chalkboard Paint and hanging a nice picture frame over it (so it looks likes a big framed calendar which can be erased and changed monthly). Would it hold up after months of adding & erasing activities and would it be way too messy? Would I be better off with a wood frame dry erase board that I can add a nice frame over? Thank you -any suggestions are appreciated.

Well, it depends on how much your kids want to use it. I've seen chalkboard walls in some houses, and they do get pretty dusty...plus the chalkboard paint surface doesn't, IMO, erase as well as a real chalkboard. But if you're only writing on it and erasing it once in a while, it's a fun idea. The dry erase board would almost certainly be easier to keep clean.

I want to see photos of it, whatever you decide. Fun idea!
