Broke down and got the Play Wonder kitchen today-- the sign said it was $59.99 and it rang up at $49.99. :)

What do I do for a fridge, though?

Congrats on the great deal! Yeehaw!

The fridge is the thing that the little girl is standing next to, isn't it? In our house, it's also the dishwasher, if needed. The other door is the oven and microwave. :) I keep the play food stuff, utensils, and cooking tools in a storage organizer next to the kitchen.

I bought the same kitchen on Tuesday for only $49.99 too! The sign at my Target also said $59.99. I was wondering the same thing about what refridgerator to use, then I thought maybe the door below the sink is suppose to be the fridge (as pp said). I will continue watching this post though to see if there is a fridge out there that matches the kitchen as I would rather have a seperate one.

BTW...I also got the Pottery Barn Metro dishwasher to go with the set.

I am just curious where you guys are located that the kitchen is so cheap. Our local targets only seem to have it at 80.00.

Do you happen to have your receipt handy? I would like the sku # from the receipt to call some not so close targets to see if they have it on sale. I have to go way out to the airport tomorrow to get my sister and I might be able to find it out there...

Thanks.

I was wondering the same thing when I was reading about all these clearance bargains others are finding. I went to my local Target - the clearance aisle was an absolute joke. Their *were* lots of Bratz things, though ;). None of the wooden stuff was on sale (not even the shape sorter push cart thingy that a poster was warning about, but they may have changed that and re-released it as it looked different from its pic), my Target has no train tables (and I've never seen them, so I'm thinking they never did), the kitchen isn't even on sale... I left there with nothing and extremely bummed out. On the bright side, I have *never* walked out of Target without spending money, so this was a cheap trip for me.

I'm in Illinois. It's in it's regular Play Wonder/Ryan's Room-ish aisle, and it's marked with a regular sale tag on the shelf (not a red clearance tag). It's on sale until the 29th at the "$59.99 but really $49.99" price... I'm wondering if they'll fix it soon! They're out a lot of $10 hits just from this board alone! :)

I don't have my receipt right here, and I'm out for the morning in just a minute, but I'd be happy to post it here this afternoon.

I see how that's the fridge, but was hoping to use that part for storing the pots, pans, plates, etc, and was hoping for a free standing fridge.

My FIL is into woodworking and has made some pretty nice things... maybe he could make something simple, and we could paint it to match....

Thanks for posting a reply. I went to Target's website and pulled up a few other stores' numbers online and started calling. Oddly enough I found it for 79.99, 69.99 and 59.99 within 20 miles of my house. I am going to the store that told me 59.99 when DD gets up from her nap and see how it rings up. Thanks so much for posting...Let's just hope my DH doesn't kill me---my DD is turning 1 tomorrow so it's bound to sit in our attic for a little bit!!!

You could go to Lowe's?Home Depot and buy a very simple unfinished cabinet. Add some round legs, a similar handle and paint to match. Maybe your FIL would help you add shelves to the inside!

It also rang up $10 less than the sign. After I was finished paying I asked the clerk about it. She said that often corporate will do a price off discount (like the 10 dollars) but it's up to the region or even the store to set the price to start with. She said their store might have had it cheaper than other stores because they sell more of them there than the other locations. I am very excited to get it for 49.99. I have been waiting for a sale for a while. Now I just have to find a place in the attic to save it until next Christmas!!! LOL!!!

Kudos to you all! $49.99 is a great price for the kitchen. I called my store to check on the price (even though we don't need another kitchen, but I was curious). I gave them the SKU number, and it was $49.99. Great deal!

Aww, I was at Target in the Play Wonder aisle today and didn't even LOOK at the kitchen. Guess I'm going back tomorrow :)

Thanks for the post!!! After I read it, I managed to get the same deal in Watertown, MA (outside of Boston.) My local Target (Framingham, MA) was $10 more. Go figure.

Did they have many left at Watertown?
Am thinking of getting one.
Thanks,

You should call. When I spoke to Evertt in Toys, there were only 3 left in Watertown. (He's a helpful guy. Maybe he'll have ideas for you.) My friend went and bought two, one for each of us. So, I haven't been there, but theoretically, there may be one left. Framingham won't match the deal, but Somerville might have it too. It's only $59.99 in Framingham, which is still better than $80, and they have plenty.

Good luck!
