Our DD is not the happiest bath-taker, so we've been looking for fun bath toys to distract her.

DH remembers a bath toy from his childhood. Here is what he *thinks* he remembers:

It was rectangular.
It might have been beige.
It stuck to the wall.
It had a water wheel.
It had a cup with a handle.

I know it's not much to go on, but any clues to what this was and whether it's still out there?

TIA!

FWIW, we have a sand wheel that we use in the bath tub. The water makes the wheels spin around just as well as sand! ;) It doesn't stick to the wall, but I thought I'm mention it as another option. We picked ours up at Target where they have all the sand/water toys during the summer.

Thanks for the link, couldn't find it there, but what memories!

Yeah, I think it would be easier to find good water toys in the summer. She wasn't complaining so much then! :)

I don't really remember much more than your dh, but I think I had that toy too!! I loved it! I *think* some part of it squirted water, maybe the water wheel?? It reminds me of the infant activity mats that are around today, with all sorts of gadgets to pull, push, etc., but of course for bigger kids.

I *just* saw something like this the other day. I would try the B&M stores like Kmart, Target and TRU. The one I am thinking about is red and has a white and blue wheel.

At Target, look over in the regular toy section in the Fisher Price aisle. At the very least there are some cool Diego bath toys. My ds' favorite "toy" are the Crayola tub tints. :)

Is the concept of this one what you are looking for?

It's driving me crazy not to be able to find that other toy.

Discovery Toys (home-based party kind of business) carries something very similar-- the Busy Bath activity center. Here is a link to a consultant's site:

I don't know this person, just googled Discovery Toys looking for the toy.

So weird. My mom and I were discussing this exact toy around Christmas - she wanted to get something similar for DD, but we could not find anything like it! I have very faint memories of playing with it in the tub. :)
