where can i get a nice basket but not to expensive? i saw some through lillian vernon. does anyone know anything about these? we always had nice ones growing up and i want to do the same for ds.

There was a thread about LV a few months ago and overall word on them wasn't good in terms of selling a quality product. I'd look elsewhere.

It doesn't look like Williams-Sonoma has their's in yet but they will probably have something.

Another choice is Michael's or Jo-Ann Fabric. JAF definetly has them and they may do the trick. Quality may be more midrange but for a once a year used item that shouldn't realy be a problem and if you wait for a sale (or a coupon) the price should be good.

You should do a search, I know Easter baskets were discussed last year. My boys have PBK baskets (honey) with embroidered gingham liners (we have both yellow and blue). I know Target had some that were very similar to PBK baskets last year (wicker with gingham liners) so you may want to check there.
