I am thinking about getting a Bilibo for DD. http://www.activepeople.com/en/toys/bilibo/
Any opinions or anyone know a good place to get it?

I actually think it is pretty cool, I always like finding a new cool gift that isn't the norm. I do wonder about how it would treat a wood floor??? I think it would be fine with carpet or tile, and especially in the water...

We have one, and it gets far less use than I expected. I thought it was VERY cool when I bought it, and my DD1 has sensory issues, so I thought the ability to spin and rock would be very appealing to her. But I think it was a little harder for her to use than we thought it would be. We haven't ever used it at the beach or pool, so I don't know about that.

Probably the most popular use for the thing is as a dome-like house for our small dinosaurs and other animals. My younger DD used to say that it looked like the Teletubbies' house. ;)

Anyway, I wouldn't get it again. Maybe my kids just aren't coordinated enough for it.

When I was looking at it, I thought it would be a great "grocery basket"... I really enjoy when kids take an item that has an obvious use and just throw it out the window and make up their own...

We have one. It gets used on a regular basis. DD uses it as a prop for her people and animal figurines (it has been a mountain, house, cave, etc.) She also fills it up with water and uses it as a swimming pool for the little people and animals. The other use is when I put her in it and zing her across our wood floors. She LOVES that and the floors haven't scratched from it or anything. I'd buy it again. It's not her most loved or used toy, but neither is it her least.
