How about a kite? A nice nylon one will cost around $15-20.

DDs fave b-day gifts were Zingo, a hand painted parasol with her name on it, a Polly Pocket cash register, a Magic Schoolbus Book (she loves all things Magic Schoolbus). She got a Little Pony where you fix it's hair but doesn't play with it but a few of her 4yo friends do! Depends what the girl likes. Zingo is a definate though. You can get it at Target for $15 or Discovery Toys for a bit more.

We are going to a 4 year old BOY birthday party at the end of the month. I was thinking of getting him a cute crayon roll ans some art pads and coloring books since he loves to draw. There is a seller on etsy.com that has some adorable crayon rolls for under 10.00 shipped.....hth

How about puzzles or board games? Or anything crafts related.

Laurie Berkner Band? Ralph's World? They Might be Giants? Dan Zanes? Jack Johnson Curious George Soundtrack?

What about music and a boa or microphone.

My kids are really into dancing. We listen to CD's and watch DVD's. Great physical activity for all of us.

Here are two ideas:

Create a Plate kit -

or a personalized book where the child is the main character -
