Do you miss having no tray? or is the tray only used for such a short time? I love the idea of this chair, (and how easy it looks to clean!!!) but I'm thinking I might miss the tray for playing and self-feeding. What do you think?

I was just telling DH this morning how I wish we had bought it sooner! We had a Primma Pappa, but the tray always seemed too high for DD. In the Tripp Trapp, she can eat right off the table and it's at the perfect height. She loves eating this way because she is right up with the family. Also, I posted this on another thread, but I saw this on EBay if you really want to get a tray:

I am in love with it so far. It is so much better than her old high chair for us!

The Tripp Trapp is a great highchair and I haven't missed having a tray. We started using it at 7.5 months. It fits our table really well and doesn't take up a lot of space in the dining room. I have only briefly used a chair with a tray at my parents' house and wasn't impressed. It looked too confining and my son did not like it at all. With the Tripp Trapp, my son can choose how close he wants to sit to the table. He pushes against the table with his feet. Now that he can walk, he uses it as a step stool as well. We also set it at the piano so that he can "play" the piano. He pushes it to the piano to let me know that he wants to "play".

Not missing the tray at all. DS feels like a part of the family at meal times, not like he's removed to a table of his own. I don't know why I didn't get the tripp trapp sooner... oh well, live and learn.
