I'm looking at the Fisher Price Grow to Pro and the Little Tikes set. My son is 2, but the size of a 3 yr. old already. Has anyone tried out both and found one to be of better quality and tall enough for the age range listed on the product? If you have either one, how would you rate it? TIA.

We have the ESPN Grow-to-Pro (http://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-J9605-Grow-To-Pro-Basketball/dp/B000CQNEG4). I think that is the same one you are talking about, right?

Not sure which Little Tikes set you are considering, but we got the FP/ESPN one (at TRU) because it adjusts so much bigger than the LT Easy Score (http://www.amazon.com/Little-Tikes-EasyScore-Basketball-Set/dp/B00000J4I6/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/002-8173097-2408829?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1179243442&sr=1-1).

The downside to the ESPN/FP one is you can only adjust one foot at a time, not in increments. Seems like you can adjust the LT one in 6-inch increments.

No other complaints or concerns. We currently have it on the lowest or second-lowest setting indoors. We haven't felt the need to weigh it down. I like the ball return feature.

Search for basketball here and you should find more threads.

We have the Fisher Price Grow to Pro... got it for my older DS when he was 2 or 3. It is much bigger and grows with them more. That said my neighbor got a small Little Tikes one and my 2 year old thought it was great cause he could slam dunk all on his own. The next time he played with ours he wanted me to lift him up so he could dunnk everytime!!!

Overall we have really enjoyed our FIsher Price...and it's held up beautifully over the least 3+ years! When we were buying it a lot of reviews were talking about how the Little Tikes one wasn't great but it looks like they have improved it some now... the rim isn't falling off everytime a kid pulls on it!
