Does anyone have this? Does it work well? We are moving to a new home that was built in the 20s, so no central air, and we don't want to lose the closet space by having central air installed. This looks like it might be a good option, if it is a good buy. Thanks for any help!

My MIL has it in her home. It works great!

We've only used them when traveling in Europe, but they certainly did the job.

We had them in our apartments in Tokyo and also in our house here when we bought it. They work well but I hated them in the bedrooms because it would blow straight at the bed (more a problem with where the previous owner had installed them rather than a problem with the unit itself). We opted to put in central air during a renovation last year, but have kept a unit in the basement rec room and it works fine even though it's almost 10 years old.

I don't know the model you're looking at, but I liked that there is a "dry" function which is like a dehumidifier. Great for basements and rainy season in Japan!
