Has anyone ever tried the Toddler Ready Bed?

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5403137

We will be taking 2 short trips this summer and need somewhere for 2.5 year old DD to sleep. She is still in her crib at home, but sleeps on a mat at daycare.

Thanks!

We have one and it has been great for my son. We use it as a travel bed for him. I can't remember if he ever used it before he was in a bed at home (at about 2.5 we moved him to a bed.)

You might consider getting the Youth size ready bed though. Somewhere between 3 and 3.5 the bed seemed a little small for him (he's not a tall 3 year old and he did still use it though the last time we traveled). The size "rails" on the toddler version did not keep my toddler from rolling onto the floor in his sleep (it didn't wake him) so if you'd like it to last longer, I'd suggest the Youth version.

I picked one up on clearance at Target last summer, when DD was only 20-ish months. We didn't wind up being able to use it until she was sleeping in a toddler bed at home around 27 months. But it works really, really well for travel now, and DD *adores* it.

In fact, when we get home from our trips DD still wants to sleep in it.

The only thing I would suggest is if it doesn't come with one, buy a small battery-powered pump. (I think some do and some don't - the one you linked to doesn't.) The foot pump that came with ours takes a bit longer than I'd like to pump it up. Unfortunately, since the bed was only $8, I can't convince DH that we need to spend $20 on a pump. ;)

We have one and it works great for travel - my only complaint is its kind of noisy if they move alot in their sleep ;).

We have one and it worked great inside DD's tent for travel. Before she was in the Ready Bed, she was in her crib with a crib tent, so we just plopped the Ready Bed inside the tent, put some pillows on the side (because the tent was wider than the bed) and she was good to go. She really liked sleeping on it.

My DD didn't like hers. The first issue was rolling off (so we put pillows around it and pushed it up against a wall), but the bigger issue was she didn't like the built in pillow-area. She's now too old for it, but I was thinking about getting the youth aerobed for DS when he outgrows the pack 'n play. It has raised sides and would be harder to roll out of (although it costs quite a bit more)
