Does anyone out there own a useful product to help you rinse your DC's hair at bathtime? My DD likes taking baths, but hates the way we rinse her hair. Right now we are using a cup or a little toy watering can to rinse her hair. She screams and crys most times. We have tried using the shower visor hat to protect her ears/eyes from wetness, but she doesn't like it. Anyone own anything that could help us? Thanks so much!

When my grandmother rinsed my hair in the tub, she gave me a folded-up, dry washcloth to hold over my eyes. Then I would lean back on one of her hands until I was reclined, and she would pour warm water on my head. I always loved it when she did that, because my parents didn't take the time to do it so lovingly.

Or, I saw this in a catalog and thought it looked pretty cool. http://tinyurl.com/3deg95

That's what we do with DS, and then after he sits up I give him a towel to wipe his face. He still says "no eyes" and I tell him that we'll do it carefully.

We have the "Shampoo Rinse Cup" from the link above. It was a lifesaver, when, at about 2.5 years, DS suddenly started screaming bloody murder when it came time to rinse his hair. I bought ours at the local Right Start, but you can now get it for less at BRU, TRU, or Walmart.

Before he developed his aversion to having his hair rinsed, I used to have him lean back on the Snug Tub, and gently rinsed his hair with the little pitcher that came with his baby tub.

We have that pitcher and it didn't work for us. The only thing that worked was demontrating how to hold her head way back, and then use a hand or washcloth to block the water.

About few weeks ago DD finally is letting me wash/dry her hair with out screaming bloody murder. I taught her to recline in the tub while i hold support her head and pour water gently on her head. i let her wipe her face with a towel afterwards. I also have her practice on me which makes her feel ok about me doing it to her.

You can also pick up a pair of kid swim goggles.

Sophie is fine with me rinsing, but Mia...well, not so much. I just do it as fast as I can. I found a pitcher at the Dollar Spot at Target and it's perfect for the job.

My kids go through phases, but at one point they both liked to lie all the way back in the water with me supporting their head and rinsing off that way. It's less stressful than leaning your head back.

Alternatively, you could try this http://booninc.com/flo.html I have one on the way to me so can't give you a review, but Mommies with Style reviewed it positively.

We got that shampoo rinse pitcher and it entirely changed baths. It goes so much better now. I tried the washcloth, everything, the pitcher worked the best for us.

I just picked one up @ Baby Depot (Burlington) for $3.99. He still has to cover his eyes with a wash cloth and tilt his head. DS does not like water on his face at all!

I was able to buy the Flo at BRU here, but it won't fit over my bathtub spout. Check before you get rid of the box!

We have this but we can't use it because it doesn't fit over our faucet. It didn't work on a friend's either.

But maybe it would work for you!
