I bought dd and myself a sigg bottle each, but mine is really hard to drink out of. The flow is slow and it's hard to get the water out. I tried dd's and hers is much better. Is there some trick to it (lid tigheter, something with the seal, etc) that I'm missing? I want to love it, but I don't want to have to work so hard to get a drink!
Also, I really need to get some of the neoprene covers to keep the water cold, but I'm so sad to cover up our cute designs with solid covers. :) I know that's a lame complaint, but I think they should work on that issue!

Which top do you have, active or kids?

I don't know what it's called, but it's the one that looks like a sports bottle and you have to twist it a little bit to open/close.

One of the tops you have to press down with your mouth while tilting it up after you twist, the other one just pours out after you twist.

That could be either. Here is a diagram for the active:

though it doesn't show that there is another position where the bottle is open and will work without pressing down. If you have this top look closely at the top - there is some writing on it for the different positions.

If it is the kid's top, I would disassemble the cap parts and put them back.

I guess there is another top, which I have never used. Here is some info:

I keep a bottle with the active top at my bedside. I love it.

hmmm...I think I have the kids' top. It looks like this

though it would be helpful if there were pics of different angles. It pours out slowly when it's in the open position and comes out more by sucking. It just seems like it doesn't come out fast enough. My dh commented on it too, so it's not just me. I'll try reassembling again and see if that helps.

Thanks!

Yes, that is the Sigg Kidds top. It works like a sippy cup. You have to suck to get liquid out. So like a sippy cup, the child will find it more difficult to spill the beverage or drink to much and choke.

You should get the sports top for the adults in your family.

OK thanks. I just ordered it and figured they'd send me the one that made sense. Silly me. :) I'll have to order the sports top. Thanks again!
