Swingset and outdoor toys for 18 month old

Grandma is thinking of buying DD one of those small plastic swingsets for when she visits her Grandma's house. Is there anyone in particular that is good or are these a waste for an 18 month old? Should we just wait until next year and get something really nice? What other outdoor toys are a must have for this age?

My son loves his lawnmower, wagon, trike, and cozy coupe.We have a small cimber/slide on the porch and he enjoys that too.

A friend has this (Naturally Playful Playhouse climber and Swingset by Step 2) plastic set in her backyard and the kids love it. We have been playing on it since about 16 mo, (DS is 21 mo now) the other kids in our playgroup are closer to 3 and they love it too. I think it has pretty good longevity for a plastic set.

ds loves his lawnmower, crazy coupe, bike, wheelbarrow, watering can, sand toys, water table, basketball hoop, anything to ride on, and of course just a bucket..oh and anything we are tyring to use...

ds was one last summer and loved to swing and go down the slide. this year we can't keep him off of it.
