Which Handheld Vacuum to Buy? How do you clean up food spills?

I am looking to purchase a handheld vaccum preferably one that does wet/dry (is there such a thing?). DS is one year old and loves to "windshield wipe" food from his tray onto the floor. I'd like something that I can keep in the kitchen to clean up such spills and messes. Right now I sweep enverything but the broccoli, peas, rice (you get the idea) get clumped up in the broom and just creates a bigger mess. I'd like to know what everyone uses and if anyone knows of any deals.
