Why can't I find these? I want a book with one clear picture on each page. All the books we have so far have like 10 different pictures on the pages with their names, etc. I just want a book that is simple. I know there have to be some. Does anyone know of any?

Thanks so much!

For what age?

I love the Todd Parr board books, with bright colors, simple line drawings and cool messages. Those are for preschoolers, with simple sentences on each page.

If you want books for babies, with one picture and one word, try the Roger Priddy Bright Baby series.

I think the Roger Priddy Bright Baby series is exactly what I am looking for! DD is 13 months old, btw (probably should have put that in the original post!). We have other Priddy books, but not these simple ones. Thanks!

I would recommend this one:

http://www.amazon.com/Simms-Tabacks-Big-Book-Words/dp/1593540353/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/002-7761919-0233657?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1183215088&sr=8-1

Colorful, pretty pictures, good sized (pages are about 7" x 7"), and only one picture (and word) to a page.

Depending on the age of your child though it may not be something you would leave with the child unattended....it is not a board book; it has paper pages.

We have this book but I think there's a whole series.

It has one pic per page and just one word. DD loves looking at the pics of the babies.

On a side note, I made a scrapbook style photo album w/one person on each page. Like grandmother, aunt, uncle, DC, etc. I wrote in the relationship on each page.

I have found a few at TJ Max. They are really good for teaching words and DS really likes them.

I was going to recommend these. DS worked with a speech therapist for a year and she would bring these. We found them at Ross. We had four (still have them actually even though he's too old for them now!)--trucks, colors, animals, and first words. We had some of the "petting" ones, too, but ds never cared much for those.
