DS starts preschool in September. We've been told to have an extra set of clothes, sheet/blanket for nap (DS won't be napping there), and an emergency kit with certain food items. That's it. Is there anything else you feel was necessary for you child? Eg. bag, how did you label things. What do you send you child to school with?

Thanks. I'm trying to get a jump start on things for him.

Never heard of the food emergency kit and have no idea why that would be necessary. But, if it's on the list I would do it.

Other than the things you mentioned I would just add a lunch box if lunch isn't provided there. That was the only thing ds needed for preschool.

We kept a full change of clothes there. I would also just leave mittens, boots and snow pants there in the winter so I don't have to worry about forgetting them. (I'd just by cheaper duplicates if necessary...he played outside more at school than at home in the winter though :)).

He bought a back pack b/c he liked it but he never used it, nor did anyone else in his class.

I just used a laundry sharpie to write his name in things.
