Mulch for Swingset?

We purchased our swingset and are now prepping the ground so that we can put up the set this weekend. We priced cedar chips through Home Depot and have called a couple of local landscapers. The landscapers are charging more eventhough we'd be buying in bulk than Home Depot is charging by the bag. Where did all of you get your mulch/chips?

We had several pine trees taken down a month or so before we bought our swingset, so we had them chip the trees for us.

I mention this because I was told by the tree guy that he is always looking for places to dump his chips. You may have luck contacting tree service folks in the area and see if they are interested in unloading chips if they have nearby jobs.

The chips have worked out great for us this past year. They weren't sticky from the sap or buggy.
