I would like to get DD an alarm clock that plays CDs. I could get a regular one, but thought I'd ask if anyone's seen something really cute for kids. This is for DD's birthday, so it could be really special.

An internet search turned up some cute analog ones, but I'd prefer digital with music (I think -- side question: should I be teaching her analog time first?).

bump, because I'm also in the market for one (or two)...DD#1 is starting first grade this year, and she is worried about not getting up in time. At first we were just going to get her an alarm clock, but she has also been asking for a cd player for her room. I figured why don't get one that does both. Of course, since dd#1 wants one, so does dd#2!

I wouldn't worry about teaching her to tell time. DD#1 has a cute watch that has been great for helping her learn, but most of her friends who are entering first grade don't know how to tell time yet.

her watch is very similar to this

I got it at Target...
