Where will you be buying your child's halloween costume? I'm looking for some quality websites with good selection. I think DCs are going as a knight, dragon, and princess, respectively. TIA!

Pottery Barn Kids has nice but expensive costumes. They even have the dragon, princess and knight costumes you are looking for.

I just got the Lillian Vernon halloween catalog and they have some lovely costumes in it. DD wants to be Ariel this year (she was a unicorn for the last 2 years, shame she's changed her mind this year!) so I'm going to try to make her a costume......we'll see if I end up ordering something or if I can get creative enough!

What a cute ensemble!!

My mom is making Julia's Dorothy costume, and I plan to get Emma's Minnie Mouse at the Disney Store or on Ebay. I'm watching a few autcions. Lillian Vernon is also great.

My boys were a knight and a dragon last year.

I bought this knight costume (made by Great Pretenders) and soft sword from kidsurplus.com. Excellent quality! My boys have used the costume over and over again for dress-up and it's held up magnificent. The material is soft and comfortable. It comes with a vest and a hat that is lined in soft black velvet. At the time I bought it, the sword was included but I think it has to be purchased separately now. The costume looked better with black fleece pants, but we couldn't locate them the night these pictures were taken. I tied a silk around his waist to hold his sword and sewed a quick trick or treat bag that looked like a shield.

The dragon costume in the picture is from babystyle and I found slippers at Old Navy that matched. (If you are interested in the dragon costume,(I think its a size 3-4 let me know, I plan on selling it on ebay this year.)

edited to add one more picture to show the front of the vest.

Disneystore.com has 2 very cute Knight costumes for sale this year!

Princess I might opt to go with a site like this and put it together myself rather than the standard princess costumes!

I'm starting to look now - we're planning to dress our 3.5 year old DS as a dalmation, and our 14 year old DD as Cruella DeVille - so I'm worried it might be hard to find a costume.

I've always found darling costumes at Old Navy- really good quality. If you look around the end of September- beginning of November you can sometimes get them for $15.
