Gears! Gears! Gears! reviews?

Anybody have this construction set? Saw it in a kiddo section of a museum and my 2 yr-old thought it was great (for the 5 minutes we were in that area). Some good reviews and others not so excited online. Any feedback on long-term use?

Any particular Gears set to recommend for a 2 yr-old who has mastered the Duplos?

Or if you tried and didn't like Gears, do you have a Duplo alternative to recommend?

Not quite the same idea as the Duplos, but if your son likes gears, it definitely has the gears and the work to put them together. I know there's one for the refrigerator too.

We were just given this set as a hand me down from a relative and my 6 year old DD LOVES them!!
