Great quality iron bed manufacturers?

Nick needs a big bed and I am trying to find a very nice black iron bed with styling for boys. I own one from Brass Beds of Virginia and Charles P Rogers which are very nice, heavy and will last forever. Have also looked at Corsican but have not found a style that I love. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Believe it or not, our master king sized one from Pottery Barn is really nice. I was surprised at how well constructed it is. Granted, it doesn't have the super-old construction (it's held together by bolts and screws) - but I think that might be a good thing, since it's easier to repair.

Have you considered going to auctions in your area?

Hi Marissa, I got my first pair of Haflingers this week, nice! I do not see any black beds on the PB website, but I do love the style of the Mendocino bed, is that the one you have? No energy for auctions, although my dream would be a real antique brass bed that would actually fit a double mattress and not cost a fortune.
