I've fallen in love with Holztiger animals

I just went through my order and I'm in love. They are so beautiful, moreso than the online photos. Unfortunately, John dropped 2 on our brick patio and there was a little damage, but not terrible. Gaa!

My favorites of our order are
-- rooster
-- crocodile
-- gander
-- kangaroo
-- donkey (John loves it!)

They are now hidden away as they are for birthdays and Christmas. I am not a collector but I think I may collect these. I do love that they are SAFE!!

We got ours at padilly.com and they sent a Holztiger catalog. I am in trouble!

Karen, I am smitten too! I had a woman on etsy make a special bag for Nick's animals. I am hoping this is the item that gets passed down to his kids.

We have a bunch of the dinosaurs, and while *I* love them, they were never a huge hit with DS1 and so far DS2 hasn't expressed much interest in them. DS1 was way more into the realistic looking Schleich dinosaurs. I guess I should be glad -- I would have spent a fortune on more dinos and other animals if the boys had loved them.

Oh I love the bag! I want that for our animals too!

We've made FAO Schwartz a definitely stop now each time we're in the city - they have a HUGE selection and the first time we were there and discovered these I didn't notice the other HUGE wall of animals. I noticed them on a few other walls as I was walking out last time! Next time i'm there I'm going to check it out closer.

We started collecting these right after we saw Charlotte's Web and bought ones that reflected the movie.

Thanks for sharing the bag, it's neat! I have seen posts about Etsy but haven't looked into it. Is it people who make custom stuff? I'll need to take a look when the boys nap.

I broke down and gave the boys the donkey and rooster today, I couldn't wait for Alek's birthday. It will be interesting to see how much the boys play with my first order before I go whole hog with the animals, but I love them.

I'm thinking of doing the nativity too, but I'm trying to be reasonable about the number of toys I'm going to collect.
