Sorry if this has been asked and answered before, but I was wondering if most wooden dollhouse furniture sets out there tend to be universal. Can you use Plan Toys brand furniture with the Ryan's Room dollhouses and vice versa? I noticed that even within the Ryan's Room brand of dollhouses, some of their furniture sets (for example, some of their furniture sets with colors like pink and purple) are pictured with the "Home Sweet Home" dollhouse on the packaging, and the more natural wood colored sets are pictured with the "Home Is Where the Heart Is" and the "Home Again, Home Again" dollhouses. I assume that all the Ryan's Room furniture interchangable with their dollhouses. I'm getting lost in the world of dollhouses right now. Thanks!

Different brands (i.e. Plan, RR) and different lines within brands are basically universal in terms of size. As you have noticed though, some of the color schemes and styles tend to go better together. It is mostly aesthetics, since strictly speaking they are all the same scale. So I wouldn't really mix modern pink/purple furniture with natural furniture even though both are RR, but I might mix RR natural furniture with Plan natural furniture.

You can check out the Ryan's Room and Plan Toys sites to get a sense of the different furniture lines they have:

I hope I answered your question.
