A while back ago there were several people asking about Nikon D40, including me. I ended up purchase one from Circuit City in July. I have been very happy with the camera, even though I haven't used it a lot, and haven't even got the chance to download pictures from camera to look at the pictures.
Anyway, D40s are now available at Costco.com (whereas previously they only had the D40X). HTH.
