I've seen the one that's made for the disney cars but it only holds 16. Do you think this would fit the disney cars as well?

I don't think it would work. We have the case that is like a track. I can creatively fit about 30 cars in there but it's packed.

As long as you leave out Red and sometimes Mater, you can fit LOTS in the track case. And it doubles as a track for them to drive on. DS loves his.
