Looking for a first doll for DD#2 -- DD#1 already has Calin Cheerful pink.
http://www.amazon.com/Corolle-41136-Dollies-Teal-Hair/dp/B000JM07WA/ref=sr_1_1/105-5445283-0890007?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1193520159&sr=1-1

But, I kinda wanted DD#2 to have one of "her own", KWIM? I was thinking Tidoo Bright, but not sure about that.
http://www.amazon.com/Corolle-41136-Dollies-Teal-Hair/dp/B000JM07WA/ref=sr_1_1/105-5445283-0890007?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1193520159&sr=1-1

How do the Tidoo dolls compare to the Calins? I want a doll that could be a play doll, maybe DD#2 could take it to bed -- probably not for the bath. None of the other Calin's are doing it for me as DD#2 has dark hair, dark eyes.

Also, looking for a new doll for DD#1 -- I was thinking the 14" Vanilla Blonde.

Is that about the right size for a 3yo???

The Les Dollies line is cute too....

Help, I'm lost in Corolle land, LOL! OK, I admit it, *I* really want them all for ME! :)

I am madly in love with DD's BabiPouce (or whatever the first one is called). DD is too young to appreciate the doll, LOL. I have never seen a dark-eyed version, but I have seen one with dark hair (it is just drawn on). I want one for me, LOL!

When I was looking for DD's first doll (Last Christmas - 18 mos) I was also undecided b/w the Calin and Tidoo. I didn't like the plasticy fabric body of the Tidoo and the fact that it is so much "floppier" than Calin. Tidoo won't sit up, which isn't a big deal at 12 mos but at 24 mos (and up) she might get annoyed if she wants to sit her up to play tea party, for example, and she can't sit up, KWIM? ITA that there were some cuter Tidoo styles out there for dark haired babies (DD is brown hair blue eyes) but I ended up with charming pastel. DD loves her!

I got the Babipouces for my girls' first birthday. Honestly, they didn't really show any interest in them (or their Kathe Kruse Nicki babies, for that matter). They have since been given some (not too cute, but they were gifts) other plastic dolls. They play with those some and still not the babipouce. (they are almost two). If we hadn't been given so many baby dolls, I would probably be getting the Calin this year -mostly because I like her. The guy at the doll store said he never recommends the Tidoo. He doesn't like the feel and doesn't encourage taking her in the bath (even though it is supposed to be fine). I do think the Calin is veery cute though!

I have a bit of a doll thing LOL! My girls get a doll every year for the holidays.

I got Sarah that Corolle 14" vanilla doll last year (in brunette) for Hanukkah. I think she's an absolutely beautiful doll, although Sarah has been less than thrilled with her. I mean she likes her, but the doll is definitely not a fav.

I got Amy the Corolle Babipouce last year (even though she was only 2 months old LOL) and actually she really likes her now.

This year Amy is getting the Tidoo (she'll be 14 months).

Sarah is getting a Penelope Peapod doll because I think she will really enjoy the whole aspect of being able to carry the doll around with her as a tiny purse type thing. www.penelopepeapod.com

Sarah also has a Bitty Baby and an (older, well loved, much abused, hand me down) American Girl 18" doll. She loves both of those much better than the 14" Corolle doll.

A local B&M store says they are able to get in a brown-eyed Calin for me. She has blonde hair, but at this point, I don't care as long as the eyes are brown. Hopefully they are right -- I don't want to be stuck without a gift for Christmas! I am still undecided about the 14" Vanilla doll for DD#1.

But, I'm getting 2 Les Dollies (one is called Marshmallow, the other has purple hair) for them. I might not give them as Christmas gifts, but they are just soooo cute!

For those of you with Calin or the Vanilla dolls, how many sets of dress up clothes do you have? DD#1's Calin only has the outfit she came with. I was thinking she might play with her more if she had clothes....

I actually don't have any dress up clothes specifically for the 14" Corolle doll, but I can tell you that she can wear Bitty Baby and AG doll clothes just fine LOL!! ;)
