A friend of ours 5 month old loves the old curly telephone wire

I think I have the perfect thing for you - it's called chewlery and it's basically just a curly plastic chewing toy in necklace form.

It's from a catalog with products for special needs children but the mommy & me playgroup I attend uses them for all their infant groups, and the babies LOVE them universally. A friend bought a multipack for all of us, and both my daughters have loved the one we got from it. I see you can also just buy a necklace and bracelet set.
