I want to get my ds a toy pirate ship for Christmas. I don't want to get one of the big elaborate (and expensive) wooden ones. But I also don't want to regret getting something that is too baby-ish.

I was eyeing the pirate ship made by Plan Toys. Here is the link:

http://www.amazon.com/Pirate-Ship-by-Plan-Toys/dp/B00009YOR6/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/104-3385596-9779942?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1194205092&sr=8-1

(which btw, I know you can find for a lot less expensive, I am just sing this link as an example).

As well, as the ship made by FP Little People:

Any suggestions, other recommendations??? TIA!!

We got this pirate ship from Duplo for my son last christmas and it still gets played with! He was 3.5 at the time. There are two little "cannon-balls" that you can launch from the cabin. His favorite thing is to see how far he can aim it. Perfect size for little hands:
