So my mom told me about this train table at Sam's Club.

I know nothing about trains. Nothing. DS is just starting to get interested in them, so I don't know if this is going to become a major obsession or not. Does this look like a decent deal? I know Costco has one that everyone loves, but I don't know anyone with a membership, and I can't see getting one just for that.

Thanks!

For the price and since you don't know if you'll be using every minute of the day or once a month, I'd say JUMP ON IT! The tracks are compatible with major brands (I think that means Thomas, Brio, etc.). It doesn't have drawers like the Costco table, but it has bins. You should be able to hid a lot in those bins.

Why are you still reading this? You should be at Sam's Club buying this before all the other people snatch it up. :)

The only thing you might want to look at is that it was manufactured in China (The Costco stuff is probably made there too...everything is!). Sometimes that's a problem. I'd buy it. Just don't let your ds put the stuff in his mouth. If he puts stuff in his mouth, don't let him play with these toys until he grows beyond the mouthing stage. The price is great...even for just the table.

Have fun. And let me know if you have any Thomas questions. We're Thomas junkies at our house.

I'm pretty sure that is the Battat train table that is available at Tuesday Morning. It was pictured in my Tuesday Morning flyer that I got in the mail this week. It said it would be available starting 11/15, but it may already be available now--not sure. I think it is on sale for $99 there as well.
